New: mail-forwarding

Uni.dj now supports (simple) email-forwarding. That means if you registered the account "foobar.uni.dj" with your email address "my.name@gmail.com", emails sent to "foobar@uni.dj" will automatically be redirected to "my.name@gmail.com".

This feature is automatically activated/enabled after registration (all current users get this feature of course, too) with a maximum delay of 10 minutes.

The email-server is well configured - just to give some tech-buzz-words, we use:
  • Postfix
  • Greylisting
  • SPF
  • RBL
Just to make sure no (or little) spam will reach you (could be even usefull as proxy in case your current email-provider does not provide anti-spam features).

We hope you like and enjoy this new feature :)

Finally online!

After many testing, structuring, etc. we are proud to finally bring our free subdomain/redirector service online.

We additionally decided to take over the well established service "b4.to" - which was online since 2001, but went hiatus on 2008. Unfortunately we are not able to recover member data, so just grab your old account before someone else does it (or mail us if there are any problems).

You might be wondering why we started this blog. Well except for being cool.. ;), uni.dj is a work-in-progress, there are still many features missing which are so big & cool that announcing it small on our main page wouldn't deserve it.

Our goal is to bring some fresh wind into the subdomain/redirector/tinyurl scene - so stay tuned and thank you for reading :)
